Helping a Foreign Girl Today!
After work today, I was walking back home. I encounter a foriegn girl from China and Singapore. She looked like she was lost, I thought to myself, should I help her or should I act like I don’t know what’s up. But in my head, I was like, okay, I’ll help her. I asked her, “do you need some help?” She said yea, and she spoke mandarin which I’m really bad at. So I asked her where she was going, She wanted to go to Best Buy, which was completely the wrong track she was walking towards. So I told her she could take the bus which should take her like one hour to get there. But I felt like it would be really inconvenient for her. Thus, I ask if she needed a ride, she said, no. But insisted to help her. She said thank you! I let her come to my house for couple of minutes so i could go pee pee. Afterwards, i drove her to Best Buy which took us like 20 minutes to get there. Better than one hour ah? Once we got there, i stuck with her until she got what she needed. She planned to go to Best Buy to buy a Laptop for her younger or older brother who goes to college in China! She got her debit card ready to buy her brother the laptop, next thing you know, it was declined. Since her card was from Wellsfargo, and i worked there, i knew what to do. Her debit card limit was over so she couldn’t buy it. Then i called the card services because she didn’t know you need to call for higher limit of use. It took us like one hour to find out the result because the banker didn’t believe it was her that was talking on the phone. So we called again and finally to got all the verified token questions right and she could happily buy her brother the laptop. But another problem came up. She had to pick up the recovery package the next morning. She couldn’t because her flight tomorrow is at 10am. She was very discouraged and sad cus she felt like she wasted our time there in best buy and she felt like she shouldn’t never bother me. She was very sorry. I didn’t even have a problem with her. I said it’s okay. Seriously, i didn’t feel like she was wasting my time. I feel like i should have helped her out even more. I felt sorry that she couldn’t get the laptop. I actually wanted to bring her around the city so she could explore more in San Francisco. But unfortunately, i already made plans with my friends for dessert which i end up canceling cus it was too late. But everything happens for a reason. No complaints. Praise the Lord for letting me have an opportunity to help this girl. In everything you do, do it for the Lord.
